Local Hop privacy policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

What Local Hop does

Local Hop shows a small banner on live websites that you configure and offers a link to the equivalent local URL.

Information stored

Local Hop stores your live origins, optional path prefixes, local origins, and enabled states in Chrome extension storage. This information stays in your Chrome profile. Local Hop does not send this information to the developer.

Website access

Local Hop asks for optional access only to the HTTP or HTTPS origins that you configure. It uses that access to show its banner and switch the current page to the local origin. It does not collect or transmit browsing history, page content, or form data.

Sharing and selling

Local Hop does not collect, sell, or share personal information. It does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
